We here at Tomato Street are a very large part of the community. Between 9:30am and 11, we open our restaurant to classrooms or childcare centers for field trips. The students are given a brief tour of the kitchen and front of the store, and then have a chance to ask questions to either Dean, the Owner, or Wayne, the General Manager. After the Q&A session, the kids eat lunch and have more time to chat with the staff. We feel that it is very informative for children to know what an important part of commerce restaurants are.
